The Healing Wish Teahouse and the meaning behind it

People ask why I got into the tea business, and I wanted to share my reasoning. I have something called Gorlin Syndrome and another cancer gene mutation that we aren’t quite sure what it does. I have had so much testing and worrying about the what ifs for the past ten years. I have had two types of skin cancer over the past year and a half. Mammograms, colonoscopies, endoscopies, MRIs, CT scans, scary surgeries and missing body parts.  I know what it is like to feel out of control, to know that there isn’t a cure and this is your life now You have to find a way to navigate this, while raising a family holding down a full time job, while trying to keep a healthy marriage and making things look seamless on the outside all the while you are unraveling on the inside. The healing wish comes from wanting a healing wish for myself and knowing there are many people out there that wish to have a healing wish themselves rather it be struggling with mental health, physical health or both at the same time. The Tea house for me means a safe place for healing and coming as you are but hopefully leaving with a little bit of peace in your heart. A place to come to know there are people who understand you, accept you, and know what it is like to have a healing wish for themselves. I have struggled with mental health because of my physical health and wish to help people with a great cup of tea that nourish your body from the inside out. We do have some control over what we put into our bodies. Does it mean you are cured, and the world is a wonderful place again…no, but it is a choice made by you to do something good just for you! The Healing Wish is a community for those who need a place to just breathe and have a cup of tea.
